What: By a wonderful coincidence, Bone Table are playing a gig with an Australian band called The Green Mist on May 10th at the Wanch. Bone Table, who are well known in Hong Kong for their unique combination of Fuzz Rock and Murder Ballads, are a perfect fit with The Green Mist's brooding yet ethereal compositions

The Green Mist hail from Tasmania, and their album "Next Stop Antarctica" features some of Australia's finest musical renegades, including Spencer P Jones (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, cowpunk legends The Johnnys, and the ferocious Beasts of Bourbon), Charlie Owen (Beasts of Bourbon), Julien Poulsen (Moler, Jen Cloher & the Endless Sea), and Brian Ritchie (from the wildly popular American band The Violent Femmes).

Their set in Hong Kong will be a stripped down version of the band, featuring Julien Poulsen (vocals, guitar), Paul Mileham (lapsteel), and Stu Robertson on drums. The Green Mist are on their way to Europe for a tour, so we are very lucky indeed to have them stop over in Hong Kong.

This will be a special night of music in Hong Kong indeed, and if you have any interest in independent music at all, then you should be at this gig. Best of all - it's free!

Seriously - I don't know how musicians as good as these guys ended up in Wanchai, but don't question it - just come!
