Violent Jokes is the latest production by The Projects UK, after their music crossed the oceans and reached Hong Kong. A live translation of The Projects ' acid, energetic loops was no mean feat: combining computer technology with distorted guitars, powerful synths with spank new melodies and lyrics, the result is a completely original product that will please the most demanding audience.
Inspired by the latest trip hop trends, Violent Jokes are bringing to Hong Kong an unusual combination of deep, rich electro beats originally crafted by Griff (The Projects, New Yorks Finest Taxi Service, Sushi Robot and OneDayComa) with sexy, crispy melodies sung by Shadow (Sea Monsters, Else), enriched by ad hoc improvisations played by Cla (Pentaprisma, Jazz Funkadelico).
